Power to summer house.

Post by themoog »

Hi chaps.
I have built a summer house circa 30m away from my CU in the garage. I need to run 6mm swa cable to it so I can have lights, tv etc in it.
What am I allowed to do?
Can I bury the cable myself and get a spark to wire it up both ends as that would save some labour cost.

Thanks.

If the spark is happy then yes.

If the lessons of history teach us anything it is that nobody learns the lessons that history teaches us.

Sparks are always happy for someone else to dig the trench and lay the cable.
