Dear all
I desperately need your advice. I have a brand new Glow Worm 30c boiler installed recently. During installation, the plumber made an error and resulted in a blown PCB and Display PCB. So the engineer came after that and put a new PCB and display PCB. He also changed pressure switch. Now the central heating is working but no hot water.
He says it is due to the display PCB not working with main PCB.
When he inserted the new display PCB, he is not able to set the value 255 under d70 while installing the display PCB.
Is this why my DHW is not working?
He is clueless and left with heating and no hot water.
Please please please advice me on what should be done?
Its been a week and my family is struggling due to this.
Glow Worm said it is not covered by their warranty due to installer's fault.
I am really stuck and don't know what to do.
Thanks
Chari

Since you can not fix it your self, the bod who installed it, you say is clue less, I would suggest you call the company the bod works for and complain or if he is a "One man band" give him a chance to fix it, if he can not / declines you could pay glow worm to fix it and take the bod to the small claims court to get your money back.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Who changed the pcb, the installer who fooked it up?
As it is under warranty get Glow Worm out, they should have been called first time he cocked up

But glow worm are saying its NOT under warranty since it was "damaged / broken / call it what you will" by the installer. But I agree glow worm should have been called earlier, but how was the OP to know the installer was having problems.lakshmichari wrote:Glow Worm said it is not covered by their warranty due to installer's fault.

Sorry, I missed that paragraph about the warranty.
Can’t understand why your installer can’t sort it out for you?
We all make mistakes, I certainly have done and no doubt will do unfortunately in the future, but it’s then down to me to sort asap for the customer.
Fitting a pcb and display board should be an easy job.
