Leak in garage

Hello,

I am hoping someone can give general advice on how to sort a leak in my garage. I live in a house with garage attached. The wall which has water leaking through at bottom is completely covered in earth, and is the outside wall.

I would say first thing is to remove the soil from outside, it will act like a sponge, and garages are often only a single layer of bricks.

Thanks for your reply. I can’t move the soil unfortunately as it is the full height of the garage and is part of the landscaping between properties. I’m hoping the leak is due to recent severe rain. I take it there is no quick fix if the earth behind has not had sufficient dainage installed?

Probably has no drainage at all.
