I paid 239 for the tool bare. I got a couple of spare generic 4ah batteries for 55 quid and they are every bit as good as dewalt ones.
Carpentry,I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you.

deWalt DCN692P2 18 volt cordless 1st fix nailer review pt 1

Thanks again for good review.
I received mine this week.

Had it's first outing on a FEB fence. Was firing the 4" in the old fashioned way as only had loose nails on the job. Used ring shanks on the boards. Bump fire mode was good for the boards but not sure my old gas gun took long to reload so don't know if it actually save much time. Hopefully its some way to run in now. Had to remember to switch the speed down to 1 as apparently #2 causes excess wear with shorter nails.

I bought the tool bare so am now looking for some kind of case without spending mega dollar on dewalt T STACK . What options are out there?

Also the worst thing about it seems to be the tool hook. I was doubting it every time i hung it off belt or some timber. Ordered a new lanyard for it before I drop it off a scaff. Have either of you noticed this?

Had it on a roof this week. Working great, bump fire mode coming in useful on the bracing. Lucky I bought the carribina elasticated strap though it dropped off my tool belt would of been about a 15 metre drop between the scaffold down to below.
The rafter hook design is diabolical. Ok for rafters (ish) but no good at all for tool belts. Theres got to be a workaround for this I think I will buy a big clip and clip the gun to my belt every time.
