Can you start from any grid in the game, or do you have to start from the first grid?

Look at the example you put up here. You know there's has to be a 2 in every 3x3 square. The bottom middle square must have its 2 in the top middle as there is already a 2 in the left and right vertical lines running through the entire grid.

I've never thought about there being more than one way. I don't think there can be more than one because every number you fill in has to be a certainty. If there is an option of putting a number in more than one place then leave it and come back to it when you have more filled in.
As you get further into each one you'll know if you've messed up as the 1-9 sequence will be wrong somewhere and it's impossible or me at that point to go back and work out where. Might as well start again with the definites.
