Compressors are they worth it?
this is my compressor
https://www.amazon.co.uk/PC1010-1-Horse ... 384&sr=8-2
i only use it for my little 24g headless nail gun for stuff like laminate floor beading. and also i have a n 18g brad nailer for architraves. i find my 16g passlode to leave too big a hole on architravs. especially on ogee which i use the most. the 18g air nailer leaves a much littler hole.
my senco runs both comfortably and is nice and quiet when its running when compared to some which can be mega mega noisy

Yes, my Aldi one is bloody noisy too. It makes me jump when it kicks in to recharge.

Compressors are they worth it?
Jumping off the back of this thread ... I've been given a compressor which has two outlets. When I use it air is coming out of the 2nd unused outlet. I can't see a switch or anything, do I need a blanking plug or something?

The auto seal inside has gone, not uncommon. If you don't need two outlets, get a blanking plug (1/4" BSP by the looks of it), if you do want to keep using it, buy a new fitting. A set of fittings is only a few £ on ebay.

Compressors are they worth it?
I’ve always had a small 25lt compressor in my garage it’s just a handy tool to have
I use mine for blowing tyres up,air dusting and a Brad nailer i bought a die grinder but found it won’t work as the compressor just can’t deliver enough air to run it
The down side is the noise my Mrs would complain about the noise so I rigged up a double air filter which reduced the noise quite a lot

So what kind of connection is this?
I really just need an airline hose and the gun thing for blowing stuff out.
Excuse the last photo. This site still playing funny buggers when posting photos.

Don't buy "set" (Hose, tyre inflator spray gun) from anywhere, buy just what you want, it's cheaper in the long run
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

I got that set too, hose broke, no use for the "paint sprayer" the tyre inflater was too far out, complete waste of money.
I ended up buying a decent hose (The other one is cheap plastic, coiled up) and a proper tyre inflater. My neighbour loves me, he won't get a puncture repaired, and he uses a tiny 12v inflater, If I see him I take mine out he is done within 30 seconds.
But then it's not my money, if you want to waste £20 go ahead.

I've never been guilty of trusting a gauge on any type of tyre inflater - I use a proper tyre gauge every time. I didn't even need spectacles to read it when I first had mine.
One day it will all be firewood.
