Hello,
I am looking to paint my hallways matt white. However, I am not sure what kind of paint to get. I had planned on purchasing Dulux Trade Supermatt Emulsion white, but I am now not sure if this would be suitable? Is it aimed at just plastered walls? I live in a Victorian house so my walls have some Victorian wallpaper and also a lot of intricate coving and I noticed a review that said, whilst good for walls and ceilings, it cracked an peeled on the coving. Would that be down to the type of paint or the method used? I want a trade quality matt paint.
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Best trade white paint for ceilings, walls and coving
Hi,
I use supermatt a lot.needs to be thinned for normal use which can be a pain.
As for the coving it's a different surface to the walls.
What's on it now ?

I use Leyland Trade Matt Emulsion Brilliant White. Really good for walls and ceilings, especially on 2nd coat as when wet it has a hint of grey, so you can see where you've painted already. White is white and I'm sure there are alternatives out there, but this was my preferred option.

Hi Ian,
Nothing wrong with the leyland.
Ive used Benjamim moore on ceiling mouldings before as they have their own primer sealer to use before the ceiling paint BUT this is expensive.
