Looking for non-bevelled metro tiles

Post by pjontheroadagain »

Does anyone know who stocks non-beveled metro tiles or half-size field tiles, ie about 15cm by 7.6?

I'm tiling a bathroom, with ceiling-height tiling in the shower, so I'm thinking that the standard beveled metro tile would be difficult to keep clean because the water would sit on all the chamfered edges as well as in the grout.

Has anyone used metro tiles for a shower? What's your experience? Are they difficult to keep clean?

Or is it better to stick with traditional flat field tiles, or half-size field tiles?

Thanks all

These can be laid in a brickwork pattern I'm sure other tiles are out there.

I have used this firm quite a few times. They do the Metro smooth see https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/catalo ... o%20smooth They have huge stock so you have less risk of batch variation and they deliver themselves.
