Evening all, I'm after some recommendations on floor finishes for a home workshop.
I have a room that is going to become a workshop which will house a mill, lathe, welding, grinding and wood working equipment. The existing floor in the room is floorboards on wooden joists, with laminate flooring as a finish.
The laminate flooring will be going, but i'm not sure what to put down over the floor boards that will be hard-wearing and fire resistant. I was thinking about a self leveling compound/screed, but I've got an absolute maximum of 20mm to play with, and I don't know how it would fare up being on a wooden sub floor.
Any ideas or recommendations would be great.
Thanks.

Floor overlay for workshop
18mm shuttering ply , cheap and chearfull , hard enough wearing , kinder on dropped tools , easy enough to sweep clean and you can temporarily screw things to it .
