For that price (or very close to it) an Irwin 880 (used to be Jack) is probably better and readily available, Bahco 244 is also good.
One day it will all be firewood.

bahco 244 is what i buy. also have a bahco saw handle and a baracuda blade for it.
imo bahco make the best standard handsaws, followed by spear &jackson and then irwin. ive used various other makes but they seem to either go blunt extremely quickly or are simply never sharp enough or lose the set really quickly.

All of my earliest saws were Sandviks, (now known as Bahco) still got a ripper and my two black handled ones, I ought to look after them a bit better but I can't see well enough to sharpen the things any more, I never liked the feel of Disstons which were very popular at the time.fin wrote:bahco 244 is what i buy. also have a bahco saw handle and a baracuda blade for it.

I use a Barracuda mostly now.

Another bahco user here used them for a few years
I find a lot of cheaper saws lose there edge quickly
