Clingfilm!

When doing a big job, wrap rollers / brushes in clingfilm to keep them fresh and ready to use again - better than a brushmate!
If at first you don't succeed - remove all evidence that you tried.

I wouldn't say "better than a Brushmate" because a Brushmate is perfect for the oil-based brushes and foam roller ... but I agree that clingfilm is great to water-based brushes and rollers.

Dog poo bags are also great as they have convenient tie handles and once tied are airtight so the brush or roller stays fresh for months.

Oh God...I put my brushes in clingfilm, with oil based paint on too... I'm such a lazy sod! They seem to be alright? Its been a couple of weeks now........
Old shopping bags for rolllers. If I don't have clingfilm I find freezer bags from Asda work ok, they have tie handles, don't have dog poo bags here as we have no dog!

Hahaha!! No nappy sacks in this house anymore either! (thank God, even the smell of them reminds me of endless sleepless nights and exhaustion)

Love springers, my stepdad used to train gun dogs and springers were have favourite. He had two, fabulous dogs. Brilliant on the field and absolutely adorable nutters when they weren't working!

I have a bit of a tip...I find washing up liquid brilliant for cleaning oil based paint off brushes when you have run out of specialised brush cleaner. I find if I work it well into the brush, rinse with hot water, it removes paint really well. Smells nice too if you use one of the Fairy scented range ones!

If this is widely known and I am regurgitating something everyone already knew about, I really apologise

My partner always wonder where her Aussie conditioner keeps going when she stays at mine!! , i just shrug cause my hair is cropped short
nappy sacks - my son is 17 so he does nt use them, i do for the dogs and my brushes, also use my sons old baby bath for soaking ready pasted paper in , much more easy than a trough, and you can wash the skanky dogs in it as well.

Don't really use this one anymore as I use easifill, but back in the days when the main filler was Tetrion it always mixed up nicer and smoother when using warm water.

I should imagine this works still with other fillers like polycell and your general DIY powder fillers
