Bosch Aquatak 150 pro pressure washer

This is a replacement for the pile of crap makita one I bought (see review in makita section)

Some thoughts on the machine after 3 uses..........

The hose is thinner and not as heavy duty as the makita. Hopefully it will last. It does make use of the machine easier, as its lighter and more flexible.

Its powerfull enough for sure.

Its motor swiches off when the water isnt running (makita kept running) It also works upright (makita had to be layed flat), both are plus points.

On first use the fan jet lance cracked ! An insert on the end shot out. Difference in customer service from Bosch, was one call, and a new part was shipped for next day delivery. Hopefully a one off.

All in all, 5 out of 5 for performance, 4 out of 5 of quality, 5 out of 5 for value.
Will change quality mark if it still works after 1 year !

I've had a 2100W Karcher for a couple of years now, must've used it 20 or so times and never had a problem with it.

Much cheaper than the Bosch too.

I did once have a problem with one of the big diesel powered hot water Karchers that a customer had, it was just a split O'ring in the trigger assembly. I popped to the Karcher spares place in Stockport with the split one and they just gave me a couple of replacements.

So i'm guessing that 4 out of 5 for quality is going to change then?

when you get the bar pressure up (and more importantly the litres of water per hour up high) the washer is superb

Both the makita and bosch ones were brilliant......when they worked

I think you may have to spend £500+ when you get up to those flow rates, as these machines canny take it!

I think you might be right there, mine's only 120 bar or so. They're probably using basically the same components on the higher pressure machines and just pushing them a bit too hard.

I had a Karcher - type they sell in the DIY sheds - and it was crap. started leaking within a week.

Got a Karcher replacement from the shed and the replacement leaked after a month or so.

Bought a Bosch Aquatec and had no problems with that at all in last 5 years or so maybe?

looks like quality all pretty much of a muchness, just sometimes get unlucky.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Might go for this one. I'm getting a new boxed Bosch, so will get my £280 back on fleebay. Hopefully get a new one from Makita as well, so will get my £280 back on that one as well.

this make has been recommended by a car valeter. Another car shiner has recommended a make called 'comet'

Had a look at them today, and the bigger one is just too heavy (for me) to use as a portable

So I have ordered the lesser spec 2-24xt one, should arrive Tuesday for me to break on Wednesday
