Symphony kitchen removal of cabinet to install dishwasher??

Post by cameroon95 »

Hi guys ,

I've just moved into a new build and unfortunately didn't come with a dishwasher . There is a supply and plumbing but they installed a blanked off cabinet .

I've removed door ,shelf and all the screws /plugs I can visually see but I can't for the life of me figure out how to progress .can someone please advise ? I'd rather do this myself than pay someone ...

Also unsure how to remove the bottom panel ..

If it's been fitted by someone competent, the carcasses wil be screwed together, often behind the hinges and behind the back panel. Without looking, there's no way of telling if that cupboard is screwed to the next one or vice-versa, so you may have to look in the adjacent cpds for those fixings.

If you can find those screws and remove them then the whole carcass should be removable, there may also be screws into the worktop (if laminate), often through the top front of the cupboard and also through small plastic brackets 2/3 back on the side panels.

No need to remove the potboard,(bottom panel) it'll come out attached to the sides.
One day it will all be firewood.
