weird plugs on the indoor unit of my air conditioner

Post by wil75 »

Hello

I'm trying to install an air conditioner, but when I unpacked the indoor unit, I've discovered on the pipes those weird plugs (see image below), and when I tried to unscrew those plugs, a bit of pressurised gas leaked out...(I screwed the thing quickly back)

I thought that the gas was contained in the outdoor unit, and that you would put the gas circuit under pressure once everything was connected by unscrewing the nuts of the outdoor unit (thus releasing the gas into the circuit).

Can someone explain to me what are those weird plugs on the indoor unit, please...?

the air conditionner was bought at Leroy merlin, Aqua thermal, Aures series.

Is this for your house in Cyprus?
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

 If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

thay are just test plugs when they purge and test the system in the factory, they also stop moisture and or contaminants getting it, once installed the system is vacuumed down and then charged/oiled
