Parking ticket

Post by ayjay »

I've put this in "Money Saving" just in case there's any complete idiots reading.

Who in their right mind would get caught out by the following garbage?

a) No vehicle reg mentioned
b) No place mentioned
c) No time of day recorded
d) I don't leave my email address prominently displayed in my windscreen, so where did that come from?
e) Its been written by someone with a poor understanding of written English, part gibberish and a worrying fixation with capital letters.
f) No info on where/how to pay is a bit strange.

No, they're so inept they even left that out.

I've binned loads of parking tickets from private companies up here. The only ones enforceable in Scotland are from the police, traffic warden or local council.
Never seen one like that aujay tho,
Carpentry,I can explain it to you but I cannot understand it for you.

It's a pure scam stevie, I didn't park anywhere on Monday that required a parking fee or prohibited any parking, just one of my usual parking spots by the side of the road in the New Forest.

Go into pepipoo for expert advice.

These type of people rely on gullible people who panic and pay without question. There's a big difference between a 'Parking Charge Notice' and a 'Penalty Charge Notice' The former cunningly has intentionally used the same acronym (PCN) as the latter.

I don't need any: I ain't dun nuffin. :-) (But bookmarked for future reference).

I've already deleted the email - the email gives it away as a scam if nothing else does.

Where would a legitimate parking company get my email address from?

Not the DVLA - I know for certain that I used a different email address to buy my Vehicle Tax.

I definitely won't be paying it, as apart from anything else there's no payment details in the email, that's the full text reproduced in my first post.

Being an email tends to give it away along with a lack of actual details but it seems this kind of scam is increasing , just had this from Staffordshire police
