Painting wall

Moved into a new flat and have repainted the living room walls. Originally the walls were deep blue colour but we decided to repaint it cream/white. It required 3 layers of white matt emulsion to completely hide the blue and then we finished with 2 layers of the cream topcoat.
This is the end result

The walls look extremely streaky/patchy from certain angles however the streaks disappear when you face the wall directly. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before and how this can be fixed?

:welcomeuhm: assuming you have used a trade emulsion then the only things that would cause what you describe is poor technique or a poor substrate.

Keep the roller evenly loaded, keep a wet edge and roller in a "W" shape to get the paint on then up and down ... the final stroke of the roller should always be in the same direction (top to bottom/ bottom to top whichever you find easier)
