Hi
I've a grubby looking patio door, some minor scratches but in perfect working order. Looking to paint them white, any hints, tips, products to use??

Why would you want to take a maintenance free item and paint it?

Don't do it, give them a good clean with a upvc cleaner, Wurth do a good quality one but make sure its the solvent based one as they do 2 types

if all else fails IPA does the trick

Changing the wife for a less demanding model also does the trick ... although IPA will be cheaper.

When I looked earlier ... toolstation has a an everbuild product at a price that is worth a try.

Not India Pale Ale, I meant isopropyl alcohol - both will ease the nagging sensation

PSA. Don't drink Isopropyl Alcohol Kids

Edit. The Wurth cleaner is type 32 also HG do a solvent based cleaner

If you do end up painting, use a Primer like Zinser, but if you just want to get it white again, then don't paint, just clean it well, as per advice above.

Bulls eye 123 not zinsser BIN. Or Bedec MSP paint and do not bother with primers. Anyhoo, Rob has not shown up so he is probably at the solicitor's working out what not painting the doors will cost him.
