Never used it, Bear in mind that any water based stain block (Zinsser or others) are just that stain blocks...

They just lock the stain in , they do not cover the stain. (A lot of people make this mistake and then complain that it didn't cover the stain)

You will still need to re-coat with emulsion or whatever after using a stain block.

Johnstone's StainAway Matt

Hi, I have used Johnstone's stain away on a number of occasions. The first was to cover a yellow nicotine stained ceiling, covered in 2 coats to a brilliant white (must leave a minimum of 4 hours between coats.
The second was to cover water damage on the ceiling and wall, again two coats required but what a great finish.
Easy to apply, easy to clean up equipment, very little smell, a great white finish just a little expensive.
