Johnstones water based satin

Post by quantumturbo »

Anyone else find Johnstones water based paints dry too quick? Also I guess as it's not completely water based it evaporates a bit. Hence the stuff is getting thicker in the pot. Is it OK to dilute with water?

You do have to work quickly, I use rollers or a big brush to get it on and laid off working small areas and progressing quickly to keep a wet edge. I have never watered but I guess you could dilute it slightly but you would drip the water in as it does not take much. If I did it, I might use distilled water to avoid impurities.
