This year seems far worse than any I can remember for being pestered by those crawling, stinging, and generally annoying little buggers.

That's funny, I haven't seen a wasp yet this year. Plenty of bees which is a good thing and we have had a lot more flies in the house than usual which is annoying but otherwise not been a bad year.
