Silvercrest Karaoke SKS 15/A1
Hi folks, tearing my hair out with trying to set this up, bought it a few years ago and have had a few tries with no success!
I have a LCD TV (sony) doesn't have the red yellow white inputs but the set did come with scart plugs for input and out put, I have a Blu-ray DVD player which does have the coloured inputs, I also have an Onkyo 3.1 that has a white and red input, I have no idea how to get this thing up and running, have looked on the Utube for vids but they only unbox them and so far haven't found any other source to guide me through it. We are having friends round on Friday and the wife is obsessed with getting this going! already had a domestic!
I also have a Humax freetime freesat sat box but don't know if I could do something through that, any advice to help me out would be much appreciated.

Don't know exactly what you're doing, but you can get adaptors from RCA component (the yellow/red/white sockets) to / from scart. Either as a sort of "scart plug" with the yellow/red /white sockets on it, or a scart plug with leads and RCA plugs.

Have you tried plugging the the leads into the scart adaptor, then selecting on the TV which "input" it should use.
As I understand it, a TV normally changes over to any scart device IF there is a voltage on a specific pin, which you wont have.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Yellow is video. Red is audio(right), White audio (left). Lots of tellys have these "coloured"(RCA/phono) sockets, often on the side somewhere. There might be there, just hiding under a little flap. If you have them then you probably need the "AV" input. There are plenty of videos on U-tube, some of them are even in English.
When all you have is a hammer, every problem is a nail.

My advice for all Karaoke machines is take a sledgehammer and smash it to bits
Hope that helps
