Wooden Toys

Post by Chippo1 »

Was sitting in my garage this afternoon bit bored and wondered if any one has made toys in the past or is indeed in the process of doing so ?

Any way I collected some off cuts of softwood and made a load of building blocks 40 x 40 x 40, think I might make a storage box for them to. For the grand son

Someone else (not him) made London buses. He won't go either (politely any way).

Sand the edges first and then paint them in different colours (child safe). That will keep you busy until spring :-)

Sod painting them , that sounds like torture and there are limits to the amount of self abuse I will endure. Natural is the way to go

Some one suggested Jenga as another idea.

There seems to be lots of people in the US making these for their kids and comments that they are not only fun but educational to!

Just like a pile of empty cardboard boxes.
