Thank you. Hope it's been useful. I'm currently working on a review on the DCN660, but it takes me a bit of a while to do these because I use the kit in my every day job so it can take some time before I find out what everything does and how well or how badly it works.

" useful " is somewhat of an understatement for me, someone coming to the subject as a newbie.
Also interested in your current testing of the DCN660.
I write that because there are a # of offers of the twin-set = DCK264P2
1 x DCN692 1st Finish
1 x DCN660 2nd Finish
2 x 18v 5.0 Ah
1 x Battery charger
1 x DS440 Case
with prices seeming to run from around £650 - £700.
Since prices for the DCN692 alone are around the £450 - £500 mark, it seems to be a reasonable buy, even if my main target would be the DCN692.
Decisions, decisions !....

All I can say about the DCN660 to date is that it replaced my long-term 2nd fix nailer, a 1st generation deWalt DC616 16ga straight nailer, which I've sold on. The internal mechanism is very similar between the two guns, which gives me confidence in the tool, but as yet I haven't done a strip-down to see how easy or difficult it will be to service whilst out on site. The DCN660 is far lighter than the DC616 it replaced, especially when fitted with a 2Ah battery (which gives a full days usage) but at the same time it is bigger and heavier than the gas nailers such as the Paslode. Until it has been run in fully and I've done the strip down I'm not going to recommend either way, though. Initial impressions are positive, however. If you have any specific questions, please don;t hesitate to ask

Great original review, I have had the DCN660 for about a year and is very useful. Not as powerful as an air gun or even a Paslode, but really quiet and convenient- had to fit some oak trim in occupied offices & was ideal for that.

Finally just bought one,the jury is out by a number of my colleagues on reliability in the timber frame world but I'm sick of the paslode and the senco. They ain't working worth a f*ck lately so I've bought the bare unit without box and a couple of generic 4ah batteries at 290 all in.

Well that's it been put to use for over a week now,no problems whatsoever and apart from being a tad heavier than the paslode it's a great piece of kit. I'm very happy with it and I'm glad I've made the switchover. Cheers again for the comprehensive review J&K,that's what really swung it for me(as well as numerous misfires and monthly cleaning of a paslode!)
