Hi, we have been in our 1930s semi since 2013, we have developed a problem over last few years which is driving us mad, there are 2 cracks on either side of the bay window in top bedroom that go from the window down to skirting board, the room below (living room) has cracks too from celing down to start of window but then spread to most of the ceiling coming back into the house. Thanks

There would appear to be movement causing this and you need to firstly find this an rectify it before making good. Can you take some pictures of the area on the exterior so we can get a better idea of cause please.

Thanks for reply, this is a pic of outside, no signs of any cracking, ive been told it could be coming from a loose joist? Nothing feels loose though in the bedroom!?

Hmm... is that a tile hung facsia? You cannot see behind that and that could be covering an issue. It really needs someone who understands construction to look at it. Do you know any builders?
