Cox mastic gun for me,the best guns by far.

+1 on the Cox Powerflow gun:

Widely available, affordable (£17 to £19), but widely copied. Often badly. If it doesn't say "Cox" on the gun, then it isn't, so don't buy it! Mine is now about 3 years old. Oh, did I mention that it's British?

Mine has just stop working! Same as above. Pushing the trigger but the rod doesn't push

You do need to clean them from time to time - and scrape the rust off the rod/sand off with some alox scratch

yes a course file or sandpaper works on solo clamps as well

Another vote for Cox here, best guns around. The only problem with silicone guns is the site magpie..........

I just bought the Everbuild one from Amazon for £2.55. It's good value & good quality.
I just don't want any more Cox guns nicked........

I have three of these, AK3803 SEALEY CAULKING GUN, must be 5yrs old and still going strong.

This is the best gun I've EVER used, its solid as can be, nice and cheap and has 3 plunger rods, it's quite heavy but you can feel the quality, I think the only thing that would bend or break it would be if I ran over it with the van...

That's the one I have, I got tired of the welds cracking on the cheaper ones and as you say that's pretty tough.
