intergas boilers.

hi all. could do with some of your opions,
a gas and heating engineer for too long.
my son has just brought a house,
and is on a bit of a budget,
so muggings here doing all the plumbing and heating,
its a one bathroom house, but there will be a
salon built on to the house, 2 basins max,
house = bath , shower, basin , as well as usual kithen stuff.
in an ideal situation i would put in boiler, unvented cylinder,
although i fit other boilers,
i have been on the intergas course, and must say , whats not to like, cant find anything negative,
im thinking would a high output intergas combi do the job. like 36kw,
there flow rates look good.

I've fitted a few Intergas now and have so far had no complaints about them at all.

Bit of a learning curve setting them up, then anything is these days for me at my age!

The thing is Dave what do you think about Sam’s (his Son's) requirements and wanting to use a combi.
I have got an Intergas combi 36/30 and although it supplies plenty of hot water for our house requirements would it to cope with the setup he describes including the salon built on to the house.
As you know they may be problems when potentially several hot taps are turned on together.
Or am I missing something.

I always stick to the general rule of thumb that any combi is only designed to use one hot outlet at a time, regardless of how powerful it is.

The 36Kw or more powerful could possibly cope with two on the go together, but it would require a really good cold mains flow rate.

Even at 14-15 l/m it would only obviously be around 8 l/m at each outlet.
