I fitted kit A but would have fitted kit B had I known before I ordered it.

Kit B is much better quality valves and easier to fit, only downside is hiding the vessel.

The install was a bit of a chuck it in and get the heating back on, so could have been better if I'd ripped the lot out and started from scratch.

I take it the 'Kits' are purely sealed system kits? I think Plumbline(Plumbase in Scotland) are having a 'Breakfast briefing'
on these, so I may pop along.

Tom was on a few days ago with a vid on how to cap off a washing machine tap using a 10p coin,

Kit includes the manifold and valves.

Just to update the thread by request.

Boiler is performing faultlessly.

Did the Intergas training on Thursday 12th, and ended the evening with a curry.

Excellent, hands on day with Vince trying to keep us under control, we certainly fired a few questions his way which he handle very well

End result is I'm even more impressed with them, and just ordered another to trial at my Daughters, which No1 Son is going to install for free, provided I do the wiring and commission

This time I'm going for a 24/18HRE the same as before but on an open vent, with the combi just serving the kitchen, and the hot water and heating on a Y plan.

Can I ask why you took the Combi-mate off? is this your own boiler Mehran?

Update.

Installed a second 24/18 HRE with my boy at the weekend for my Daughter (Practice) to see what it would do.

This time we had the combi serving the kitchen sink and washing machine, and a cylinder on a Y plan doing the bathroom and heating.

We also disconnected the pressure switch and made it an open vented boiler so as to avoid to high pressure problems on an old system.

Added a nice Magnaclean, and still need to fit a scale reducer, possibly go the the Hydroflow the same as I have.

Boiler work a treat first time, but as before the CO² needed tweaking with the FGA.

Highly recommended, all we have to do now is wait 25 years to see which goes first Me or the boiler.

Are you still monitoring your gas bills now the Intergas has been in what is it? 10 months! Is the second model doing ok as well?
