B&Q are selling the Hitachi 18V combi (drill/driver/impact, not hammer) for £99.98, less trade/over 60s discount.

I got one today and they had loads left. Used it for a while and it does the job but feels a little 'plasticy'.

I have the Makita 10.8v twin set for most driving uses but the Makita is not upto drilling big holes.

That is because the makita isn't 18V!!!

I had a Hitachi years ago, was nicked by a removals bloke (apt effing job for him) at the head office of Courage in Staines. That felt plasticy but the gears are metal (from memory).
