Using rain-x on acrylic

Hi

I'm having issues with water droplets forming on the dome of my waterproof camera housing.
The first day i used it, it was amazing and the water was gliding off great. Now that i have had it for a bit the water doesn't run off that well and forms in droplets, ruining all photos.

Would rain-x rain repellant work or would it decay the acrylic or something?
Any other ideas?

Rain X works brilliantly on Glass, but I am not sure about on Acrylic.

I have some acrylic off cuts in my garage and some rain x, but I do not have much time for the foreseeable future. If you can wait a few weeks I'll get a piece from the garage and try it.

Think rain-x do a marine version because the normal version degrades plastics

What you need to do, is go to a motorbike shop, they do sprays that you spray on your visor to stop drops!
