I need to either have a two-way conversation or send a voice greeting across the world tonight(short notice I know)...but..
Cannot do it by phone(no phone numbers available from them and I`ve yet to buy a smartphone), only connection is through my desktop, which has issues...such as...
It`s still running on Vista, so can`t get latest Skype uploaded. I do chat with them through Gmail Hangouts, but it`s video connection doesn`t work(Vista, again). Also vids I`ve uploaded onto my PC cannot be viewed by me, but audio can be heard(uploaded from digital camera and voice recorder). Not found a way of getting these onto email...yet.
Any suggestions of other possible way of conveying verbals appreciated.
Regards,
Chem

videos will play on most machines with VLC Player iirc vista needs the codecs to play video (included in VLC) - Its been a long time
if you have the video files on the pc you just need to render them with something like windows movie maker, if you have a smartphone record the message on that then transfer the files to the pc and email them

Facebook messenger allows you to make voice and video calls through a desktop browser.

if you have a smartphone and wifi there is no need for a pc at all, just setup your email on the phone
