These have now come back on sale. There aren't any customer reviews, even tho' this model or a similar one has been on sale at Aldi previously.

Has anyone experience of this machine +/ a better alternative for the types of job it's claimed it can do, please?

I now realize why there aren't any customer reviews of the Ferrex model. It's 'cos the previous one had a "Workzone" badge and looked decidedly chunkier than the Ferrex. Is yours the Workzone or the Ferrex, please?

It’s the work zone one. Pretty powerful , I would guess as powerful as the older Kango that I had experience of , although heavier in the hands.

I just have some concrete footings to breakup before the end of the month before i sell it , hopefully that will work out considerably more economic than hiring a breaker for what has been at least 4 weekends when I needed one during my bungalow refurb

I have not used a demolition gadget, but I had a heavy workzone SDS. Fine, it did the job but the chisels got rounded very quickly. I had to get some new ones (Heller). Can you buy alternative chisels for the gadget?

I would have thought you can but replacements , they look identical to those used in Kango and Bosch hammers

No reason you couldn’t regrind them to some extent

Ahhh, whatever is the cold hot metal stuff, I find regrinding heats the blade and it does not last that long afterwards. I don't think I tried it for those chisels although I have done it many times for Eclipse (cold?) hand&hammer chisels. My grinder is too weak to take anything largish.

Thanks for the info to date - I'll have a shuffle thru' my Heavy Duty "Drills" to check if I've got a "smaller" machine that might do the job.

A cellar floor - concrete - has to be partially removed to put in drainage to a Pumped Sump, also to be enlarged in width thru' concrete.
Rock-hard clay to carve out for same - headroom very limited.

I think you'll be fine. I'm sure a friend of mine bought a similar one.

He discovered a concrete slab where his extension was to be build, builders wanted a silly money to pull it up so he bought a cheap breaker and did it over a weekend.

I have a smaller titian breaker like this which I used for breaking up concrete footings along side a path where I needed to place fence posts. I wouldn't use it for a larger area.
