old elu power planer model mff 80 Instructions to remove cutter block?
Is there an instruction how to remove the cutter roller to change the bearings. I do not want to do any damage experimenting!

I've given your post it's own thread. Much better than tagging onto one over ten years old.

which bearing we looking at
https://www.mtmc.co.uk/Spare-Parts/Elu- ... 29022.aspx
as an aside
when dewalt took over elu and rebranded elu stuff the spare parts have the same numbers for the same tools
https://www.mtmc.co.uk/Spare-Parts/Dewa ... 30083.aspx
so iff you can see the dewalt 675k spares they are the same

old elu power planer model mff 80 Instructions to remove cutter block?
hi there
just come across your post.
Did you manage to change the bearings?
I have just taken my mff 80 to pieces to refurb it (all bearings need replacing). Interesting left hand screw on the armature and a threaded cutterblock shaft ( Elu's workshop drawing shows a smooth shaft) No problem in getting it to bits with one exception: I cant for the life of me work out how to remove the cutter block needle bearing. Ive had my collet style slide hammer bearing puller on it but the thing just will not budge . I've soaked it in wd40 and even freeze sprayed it . Did you manage to remove it? It just happens to be the noisiest bearing of the lot.
Any advise would be much appreciated.

simon harper1971, mdd37 » asked that question over 2 years ago, (23 Jan 2020, 19:30) if that wasn't bad enough he only ever made the one post. Sorry, but I don't think he will reply to you. Best make your own post.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
