Ratcheting pipe shears

I recently got a pair of ratcheting pipe shears as I was sick of cutting pipe with a saw and then filing off burrs etc, slow and messy.

Only tested them so far as I have not had a job to use them given the current situation but in my testing I am having some trouble with them, they seem to crush the pipe out of shape and I am worried they won't form a good seal, especially if I was using them on 15mm pipe with push fit connections.

Am I doing something wrong? Seem pretty straight forward to use.

What brand are they? I have Rothenbergers and they're great.

Dickie Dyer, not budget but not high end either. Says they are UK made though.

ive got some think theyre rothenberger for 15mm pipe. they work sound for that but i can at a push cut up to 32mm waste pipe with em. but i have to sort of twist the pipe at the same time to get it going otherwise they will try to squash the pipe
for 40mm waste pipe i have one of them thats the same as a standard pipe slice dead easy to use that.

I use ratcheting cutters for 32 & 40mm waste pipe and like Fin need to twist at the same time. For 15mm & 22mm pipe I use a pair of JG pipe cutters, they have a much much sharper blade.
