Bluetooth Ear Defenders

Post by Graeme from Tod »

Some advice would be welcome.

We'd like to get my partner some ear protector / headphones which would blank out the sound of me buggering around with power tools ( table saw, impact driver etc ) while enabling her to listen to stuff wirelessly on her iPad. ( We share a workshop space these days ).

I don't know much about this stuff.

I've been looking at these:

https://isotunes.co.uk/products/isotunes-link

https://www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/ ... ctors.aspx

https://www.hellbergsafety.com/products ... nd/194142/

Any opinions / advice appreciated.

Check weight which might be a critical point, also looks can be important to some people, not wanting to look like a navvy.

Thanks. Will check weight. We don't mind looking like idiots.

I looked into Bluetooth defenders but was put off with the cost ... my solution a pair of standard defenders and standard earphones plugged into a Bluetooth receiver.

I just bought these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08 ... UTF8&psc=1

Which eliminates is a neater solution and should be more comfortable (not tested with defs yet).

The page below shows you how to get the earbuds for £19.99:
https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/mpow-m ... on-3673767

Total cost £40.

Thanks affix

I'll check your solution out. I have heard that ear defenders combined with earbuds can be a bit uncomfortable.

In a way I'm not that worried about the cost as it's a business expense: If we don't spend some of our profit on stuff that makes life better the money sits in the bank basically depreciating as it earns no interest these days & benefits no one except the bank. ( B******s who will be bailed out by the rest of us if they screw up ).
