Did you have any joy with this?

I've got a similar problem with my garage that has been incredibly wet this winter. Now the better weather is upon us i'm hoping to get it fixed before winter.

I have a big condensation problem made worse by water ingress, whoever built the damn thing does'nt seem to have had a clue.

I've got a couple of areas that i'm planning to attend to:

a) Fix water leaks where sheets are attached to the roof supports.
b) Clear piles of rubbish behind the garage (as water is seeping in underneath and in effect the rubbish (rubble, soil, leafs) has raise the ground level above the floor and this is where all the rain water comes off the roof.
c) Fit guttering to the rear of the roof to divert water away from base.

Once i've done this, would it be a good idea to:

a) open up ventilation holes in the gaps around the roofing sheets at the front and back of the garage.
b) Insulate the roof using celotex or similar glued to the roofing sheets?

Any idea on the best way to tackle this?

I've put my second floor in and done about a third of the roof. Basically just cleared the eaves, placed insulation up to the roof and covered the lot in plastic sheeting. This is all held in place with some battens.

Because of the way the roof has been put on anything else would have been a nightmare, I'd rather have put the plastic to the roof and then insulate but it would have meant taking the roof off or far too much messing about...job was bad enough anyway as access is poor!

But, on the bit I've done it seems to be working.
