May have been suggested in the past (or even exist) but what about a UHM car sticker?
Not only would this advertise the forum, but out and about, you could recognise other members.
What do you think?
Good idea or bad

It's a good idea :thumbright:

I have had some UHM merchandise made in the past.

Tee shirts, baseballl caps etc. But it was a real pain in the arse getting them made as the firm I used was messing me about.

I have had some tee shirts printed by vistaprint, but they work out at about £20 each, if I remember rightly. That is with a logo on the front and back of the tee shirt. I usually wear one wehn I am making the instructional videos.

This is one of the vista print ones-

This is one that I got from the other supplier, this has an embroidered front logo and iron on back logo, only problem is that the iron on logo runs in the wash!-

<embed src="http://www.ultimatehandyman.org/flvplayer.swf" quality="high" width="450" height="367" name="VideoPlayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" flashvars="file=http://www.ultimatehandyman.org/uploads/WhJAu0UavFKEwnU5VZQN.flv&width=450&height=367&overstretch=true&logo=http://www.ultimatehandyman.org/image_s/playerlogo.png&link=http://www.ultimatehandyman.org&linktarget=_blank&showdigits=false&backcolor=0xFFFFFF" wmode="transparent" border="0"></embed>

One problem with car stickers is getting the logo on, as they are normally made to a set size.

If anyone can recommend somewhere online that makes car stickers then I will take a look

I wondered about that too! I wondered about getting a pink (because I'm a girly!) high viz waistcoat printed with the logo, they're not too pricey either. Good for dog walking. Badges would be good and pens.

Chez,

Thanks! :thumbright: That was my second attempt, the pink one was ok nearby but not great from a distance. I just need to sort out the crinkly effect on the edges. I'm walking the dog in it, 6 miles this morning, 8 yesterday! I've got a racing snake for a dog!

Chez, these are the stickers the TOC sell (  ), unless you are a registered member and then they are free.

Not got a rule to hand, so the CD is for size comparison.

Both are usual plastic that go inside window, big one is Gold Print with clear surround, small one is Gold Print with Black surround. Look pretty good quality as well

If you are interested, I can see if they will tell me where they get them from and maybe the price (as they sell them, they may not want to reveal their cost price?)
