£29.66 now but I will avoid Amazon unless it is the only or the cheapest option.

Amazon use algorithms to automatically adjust price based on competition, demand and lot of other factors. Also bear in mind, the listing initially displayed on Amazon may not be the cheapest, it will be one of a number of sellers. Under the price there is normally a "x New from X sellers" link that displays all the sellers of the item.

If there is something I really want I use https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/ and set-up a target price alert. You automatically get a mail when the item has hit the desired price.

A few years back when I was bothered to watch, if I put something in my basket and not buy it immediately, within the next 1-48 hours the price would drop by some amount. After that, the price would rise to be more expensive than it was originally. As Ahfix said.

Yes, I thought it's not bad. A fiver extra "for the post" which is what it has to cost.
There are auctions on there as well if you search.
Probably all end up a few pence off that buy it now though.

Does anyone really need five crowbars?

I've managed with just two (and a Catspaw). One large bar like the top one in the set but 30" long, (ex WD, cost me 7/6 back in about 1970) and one flat bar, longer than the one in the set and with less curl at the flat end, I bought a curly one like that after I lost my original one and hated it so I got rid of it and bought a much flatter one.

£22.99 search ebay for "Roughneck 64961". Price aside I have had a look at it at toolstation. It may useful for someone (not him) but all the levers were small and thick. There again I went and bought a second one of these at the end of summer https://www.estwing.com/products/handy-bar because one is never enough. You get what you pay for ::b

Criminals?
Joking aside I've managed with a couple for most of my life. I might have another three or four in the shed but I don't carry them around with me.
Saying I don't "need" any more I am on the lookout for a decent little bar.

Unless I've gone completely crackers (possible!) it was showing an identical set to the one first posted in that one I linked to.
The one showing there now is different.
