I need to install a security light but the PIR needs to be installed remote to the light. I have power to both locations but cannot run a cable between the two. Is there such a thing as a spotlight and PIR that can operate using wifi or the mains supply to communicate with each other?

I need to put a security light on my garage wall but the PIR needs to be at the top of my steps by the house where I can angle it downwards away from any moving bushes etc. The route between them has too many obstacles (paths, steps, fishpond) between them to run a cable from the PIR to the light. Tried several different PIR sensors on the garage wall but they keep coming on when it's windy because of all the tall plants. If I install the light at the house end it doesn't show up the steps clearly.
The PIR and receiver would do the job as I will only need to run an LED spotlight on it was hoping to find something a bit cheaper.

I would just like to point out that the PIR in the link is battery operated.............(say no more)

Any PIR will activate if it "sees" the wind. It's not a question of If, its a question of When

Why not put one on the garage (again) and use an LED lamp, it won't matter when it comes on, as it will not use a lot of current. (In comparison to a tungsten lamp)

Unfortunately the light faces towards my bedroom window. This is good if it comes on because I have unwanted visitors but not if it is like trying to sleep through a disco. By installing the PIR on the house I can aim it at bare concrete hence no problem with the wind which is not possible from the garage wall.

You could make a set of "barn doors" or similar to stop it shining in your bedroom, or buy a set of curtains for your window

Barn doors, click here

Almost found what I am looking for except ideally it would be an LED rather than a halogen lamp. Also worrying that Amazon no longer sell them.

Other supplies of that light are available, but I can't help wonder why Amazon no longer sell it.
