Hi guys, 2nd question
I'd already laid a 1ft hard-core foundation ready for me to build a 8 x 8 brick summer house, but it wasn't level. I have added no more than a 1 inch skim of 4 to 2 building sand and cement mix to level it. The reason was I tried type1 mix but the stones were too big. I tried to avoid having my pad too high from ground level.
Question is, and I hope the answer is 'yes.
Will I get away with this building sand/cement mix on top of 1ft footings if I use a concrete sealer, or do I need to dig out the skim, shutter up and raise the footing sufficiently enough to use ballast mix. The summer house I intend to use double skin for the 8 x 8 structure.
Sorry for lengthy post.
Regards
Stuart
