Tidying up an exposed socket (yeah I know it's a mess :welcome: ). I have one earth from my back box and another 'single' earth looping in and out, but my socket has two 'dual earth' terminals. Where do I put these earths? Thanks in advance.

It hard to see in the picture, but does the earth "looping in and out" (from the ring), have two wires?

You can use either earth terminal on the socket, which ever is easier to access. Both the earth from the back box and ring should be secured to an earth terminal.

The earth from the ring (like the live and neutral) are single wires just bent in and out, so it kinda has two wires, but made of one. Ha, sorry to confuse things.
I guess my question is, do both earths (ring and back box) have to go to the same socket earth terminal or if I have to split them into each, does it matter which one goes where?

Put them into the most accessible earth terminal.

If that is the same terminal for both then that is fine, if it is different terminals that is fine.
