I watched this tonight, an excellent show where a team of German modellers and a British team recreate a Battle of Britain attack using model aircraft. I really enjoyed it, with great models and flying ability it was a terrific idea for a show. Okay there was the inevitable tick list of gender, race and disability present (I guess the makers thought the BBC would buy it) and there is an obvious gender swap called Shellie, unless I am being very unkind.

But none of this detracts from the models flying so I would recommend get it on catch up C4 and have a watch.

Thanks for this. Someone told me about it a week or two ago, but he didn't know which channel and my attempts to locate it failed miserably. Have now found it and will have a watch, ta.

The enforced "gender fluidity" and "diversity" stuff gets on my wick a bit too - and Channel 4 are every bit as bad as the BBC, I reckon. It's like there has to be a gay couple, someone with a disability, and a solid smattering of various ethnics, in every single drama, otherwise it's presumably racist/sexist/homophobic or some combination thereof. It's farcical.

Still, from what you, and this other guy I spoke to about this programme, have said, it doesn't detract too much from it, and it sounds worth a watch.

Yes Chris, it does not detract from the main object of the programme. I loved model aircraft as a kid and now these days they are so sophisticated. A couple of the guys were wearing virtual reality style masks that actually allowed them to fly the plane using a micro camera in the cockpit. It looks like all the people involved had a wonderful time. I really enjoyed it, I think there might be another episode next week?
