Hi There. Just after some input really my son has a Potterton Kingfisher MF boiler which has been working ok. The gas engineers have been up his street working on the main gas supplies running new feeds into the houses by running new pipes through the old exsisting pipes. Since they have done this his boiler tries to fire up then cuts out straight away and then fires up again then cuts and so it carries on. We was wondering could this be caused by the smaller pipe dia to his boiler.

Cheers.

If he has a new pipe up to his house sounds very likely that a partial blockage of sorts has been created by this job but they should have tested his appliance after turning the supply back on?

Could be simply that they have not purged the new pipe of all the air in it properly.
