I have the task of cutting out some plasterboard, fitting new plasterboard and trying to blend in the stipple effect finish the remaining plasterboard has. I saw some stuff in B & Q last week and wondered if it was any good?

https://www.diy.com/departments/b-q-multi-ripple-pure-white-textured-special-effect-paint-5l/127226_BQ.prd

I plan on rolling it on and using a sponge to get the stipple effect. Hopefully it would blend in reasonably well.

Would this be the correct way to go?

You’ll always see the patch imo. Can you not just overboard the whole hall ceiling? A fiver a sheet and then just tape and fill joints for a smooth finish all over. Unless the staple effect is needed.

She's trying to sell it Stevie so I think she's just looking for a quick fix. I thought there was maybe a very thick paint plaster type of thing that would give me something similar.

That stuff actually came out okay. I smothered it on really thick with two coats and it's barely noticeable. :thumbright:
