Greetings. I've had a quartz worktop installed (see pic below). The suppliers cut 35mm tap holes -- great for the main monobloc tap, not so great for the water filter tap which requires a 20mm hole. Any suggestions on how to address this? I've seen some "Flova Chrome Plated 50mm Diameter Base Plates for Deck Mounted Bath Mixer Taps" here (image below). The external diameter is good, but the internal diameter is a bit too large.

Grohe do similar baseplates for Concetto / Essence / Eurodisc Cosmopolitan ranges e.g here and here, but I can't find the exact dimensions listed, but looks like the internal hole would be too large.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks in advance.

Rather than try to address/resolve the issue (which I can't) I would ask.....

Who was to blame for the suppliers drilling 2 x 35mm holes when what was needed was 1 x 35mm & 1 x 20mm?

If they had instructions and failed to follow them, surely it's their fault, and problem to resolve. Like either replace the worktop, find a similar fitment that needs two 35mm holes, or find the cover plate.

Neither the worktop nor the tap was 'cheap' and it ought to be right. Or are we missing something, like you drilled the wrong size hole yourself........

It would be nice to have the skills and equipment to drill a perfect 35mm hole in a 30mm quartz worktop, but no, I don't have either. The original plans did not have a hole size specified for the filter tap, but this was agreed verbally when the guys came to measure -- seems that there was a misunderstanding. So, no dark mystery, and any recommendations based on my original question would be welcome, thanks.
