I've painted the bathroom nice white and now this square thing (pipe access) looks out of place. Can i prime with Zinsser then paint with water based paint or would the paint wreck when it ever needs to be opened?

Or is there something self-adhesive i could put over it?

Thanks in advance!

Hum hum. Yes you can paint it as you suggest ... but it seems the door is a tight fit so it will scrape against the sides. If you decide to paint it do it with the door open so you don't seal the gaps between door and frame. If it is tight when you try to close it, it may be the time to sand the edges to remove any paint from both sides. :-(

As above, however if it were me I think I would find a nice little storage unit to go in front of it.

Is it plastic?

It might need a different approach paint-wise if it is. :dunno:

Dulux super grip or a zinsser product as a primer then emulsion over the top.

Or a trip to IKEA for a little bathroom unit

Just make sure that you don't paint it "shut"

That access panel is there for a reason.
