Help - I am trying to change my current in line bathroom extractor fan or a new quieter / more powerful model. The old fan has its own switch and is not linked to a light or anything else. It has a 3 wire connection running from the isolator switch with L, LS and N terminals. My new fan only has L,N and E terminals. Does this mean I cannot connect it?

Thanks for your help.

You could fit the new fan but it won't meet with the building regs

Your old fan has a timed overrun, your new one doesn't. To connect the new fan take the permanent live and isolate it safely. Switched live to live neutral to neutral etc.
