I have some crumbling render on top of a wall which can be scraped back to a reasonably firm but dusty surface. Would applying stabalising solution to this help prevent further corrosion, all stabalising solution I have seen seems to assume painting but I do not want to paint it just "harden it up" for a longer life rather than chipping it all off and re-doing it. Are there any other products - SBR, PVA that would be better ?
