I have excavated the back garden for a soak away but I have come across a clay bed. I went down further until I saw a small puddle of water and very dense stones (1m down). I do i need to go down any further? And is there a chance the sense pebbled are covering a pipe in the middle of my garden? I am based in the UK.

Once I've sorted this I'm aiming to add one tonn of aggregate to the base of the hole and a weed covered soakaway crate (drain pipe will in feed to this at a later date) then more some and turf.

Any help welcomed
