I need to replace the shower screen in my bathroom. The bottom fixing has come away from the wall a bit so needs sorting out. It's currently a hinged screen but I have no need for it to be hinged. I'd rather a fixed one. Can this be done on a ceramic bath? How do they fix in to place?

the one and only fixed screen ive fitted on a bath was a propper bobby basic one from b£q maybe worth a try there?

that one i had to drill a hole in the bath and secure it permanently with a screw.

Come to think of it I don't really want to drill into the bath. Almost all screens are hinged so will probably stick with that.

Are they straight forward to fit?

Fairly simple. drill driver and a few drill bits; rawl plugs ...spirit level (To check the wall for plumb) screwdriver. Maybe a skeleton gun for silicon.

I've got a screen on the bath. It's hinged but I didn't want it moving as it could easily hit the basin. I fixed it in place as tight as possible downward onto a bed of clear silicon. Not been a problem for the last six or more years.
