Hi,

I have a loft hatch between two rafters (something like the first picture on this post.... http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/how-to/woodworking/making-a-loft-hole ) The rafters are 16 inches apart and 2 inches wide, so the actual opening is about 14 inches (350mm) .

I know it's small, but I'm happy with this. I'm pretty skinny myself and only go in the loft once every 5 years.

The problem is that I'm looking for a prefabricated loft hatch's to cover it. There are lots of them available, but they're all for much larger openings. Can anyone on this forum point me in the direction of a loft hatch designed to fit between two rafters (rather than removing one, which seems to be the normal way)

you also need to line the opening this would further reduce it by around 24-40mm
you wont get a hatch ready made that size
